What is MONDHA ?
The Movement for Human Rights, Peace, and Global Justice.
MONDHA is a dynamic non-profit organization headquartered in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, dedicated to promoting human rights, social justice, and sustainable development. Our work centers on empowering vulnerable Haitian and Dominican communities by implementing holistic, community-driven programs that address urgent humanitarian needs and foster long-term resilience.
With a strong commitment to inclusion and dignity, MONDHA combines grassroots engagement with strategic partnerships to deliver impactful initiatives in protection, education, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
Our History
Founded in 2005, MONDHA began as a grassroots initiative to address the urgent needs of Haitian migrants and vulnerable communities in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Initially focused on legal aid and humanitarian support for women and children, the organization quickly expanded its scope to include child protection, education, and psychosocial services.
Over nearly two decades, MONDHA has grown into a respected human rights and development organization. It now implements comprehensive programs that empower communities, promote gender equality, support youth leadership, and integrate environmental sustainability.
Today, MONDHA partners with local and international actors to amplify its impact and remains committed to fostering dignity, inclusion, and social justice across the region.
